Rarely do we hear Angelina Jolie talk about her adopted daughter, Zahara. The 45-year-old actress recently shared that her 15-year-old daughter is “an extraordinary African girl.” Angelina adopted Zahara when she was just a baby, living in an orphanage in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia back in 2005.

Among Angelina’s three daughters, Zahara is the eldest. In a video chat with environmental activist Vanessa Nakate from Uganda, Angelina revealed many special things about her daughter with dark skin. This online conversation was conducted for Time magazine.

During the interview, Angelina spoke extensively about Zahara: “My daughter comes from Ethiopia, and she is one of my beloved children. I have learned so much from her. She is a part of my family and an extraordinary African girl with special connections to her homeland, her roots. Zahara has unique qualities in her bond with her origins, something that leaves me in awe.”

It’s heartwarming to see Angelina’s love and admiration for Zahara shine through in her words.

Recently, actress Angelina Jolie praised her adopted daughter from Ethiopia, Zahara (15 years old), as an “extraordinary African girl,” someone who Angelina has “learned a lot from.” Angelina and her ex-husband, actor Brad Pitt, share the responsibility of raising six children, including Maddox (18), Pax (16), Zahara (15), Shiloh (14), and twins Knox and Vivienne (11).

In the past two weeks, paparazzi have spotted Brad Pitt at Angelina’s mansion in Los Feliz, Los Angeles, California, where Angelina currently resides with her children. This could indicate an improved relationship between them following their divorce.

The divorce between Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt was a long and complicated process, with disagreements over co-parenting arrangements post-separation, including financial matters. Angelina reportedly requested a larger child support payment than Brad was willing to provide.

Close sources revealed that Angelina and Brad underwent therapy and family counseling to reach their current agreement on co-parenting. Both of them want to spend as much time with their children as possible.

The children frequently move between their parents’ homes to spend time with both. Brad Pitt is said to be very happy whenever the kids come over to visit him.

Angelina and Brad have been emotionally involved since 2005, married in 2014, but Angelina filed for divorce in September 2016. Last year, Angelina shared with Harper’s Bazaar magazine that she wants to live abroad and will do so once all her children are 18. Currently, she is bound to live where the children’s father resides.

Zahara is the oldest daughter among Angelina’s three daughters. It seems that the custody terms following the divorce made it impossible for Angelina Jolie to unilaterally decide to take the children abroad to live as she wished.

Brad Pitt has also admitted to his alcohol addiction before splitting with Angelina, but since leaving the marriage, he has tried to become more sober and no longer dependent on alcohol. This has allowed the court to grant him more time to spend with the children since last year.
