In Bulgaria, a petite and financially struggling nation, a plethora of stray cats roam the streets in search of warm and affectionate homes. However, these feline creatures face difficulty finding caring owners as there is a scarcity of benevolent people.

Introducing Stoyan and Dessy, a Bulgarian duo who have dedicated themselves to taking care of stray animals. They are not affiliated with any animal rescue group or shelter, but have ingeniously devised a plan to assist these needy creatures. Despite being an ordinary couple, they are working tirelessly to support these animals with their own finances and the generous contributions of their compassionate supporters.

Their place is home to four adorable dogs, all of whom they rescued from the streets. Two of their furry companions, Sopolcho and Bagheera, are currently residing with them, while the other two, Alexa and Rijo, are temporarily staying with Dessy’s mother. For over ten years now, Dessy’s mother has been caring for stray animals by feeding and sheltering them. The couple’s dream is to create a sanctuary that can house countless stray animals, with the help of Dessy’s compassionate mother.

During their stroll, they stumbled upon a stray dog that decided to join them. After weighing their choices, they opted to provide a temporary home for the lovable companion until they could find a better long-term home.

Meet Ruggles, an adorable Shih-Tzu pup who moved to a new area to start a new chapter in his life. As he acclimates to his new surroundings, he crossed paths with an unlikely buddy in need of a second chance. Chompers, a helpless kitten, was abandoned and left alone at just two days old. Their initial encounter was caught on camera and is nothing short of heartwarming.

After going through a rough start, Ruggles and Chompers have finally found their forever homes where they receive the love and care they deserve. As a matter of fact, Ruggles was even named the official ambassador of the Cherokee County Animal Shelter – the very place that gave him a second chance in life. He now spends his days visiting schools to teach kids about puppy mills and how shelter dogs can be amazing companions.

Initially, the shelter had intended to have Chompers and Ruggles adopted together. Unfortunately, Chompers demonstrated aggressive tendencies towards the younger Ruggles. As a result, due to Ruggles’ health concerns, it was concluded that it would be beneficial for both creatures to be adopted individually.
