The recent episode of “Sister Wives” on TLC saw Christine Brown opening up about the differing relationships she and her former sister wife, Robyn Brown, had with Kody Brown. As Christine announced her split from Kody in November 2021, she shared her thoughts on Robyn’s role in their plural marriage during a confessional in season 18 episode two. The scene showed Christine discussing with her son Paedon, 25, his belief that Kody was not present for him physically while he was growing up. In her own confessional on the show, Robyn stated that in plural marriages, wives and mothers have to help their husband form a close bond with their children, as the father moves between households.
Christine seems to have responded directly to Robyn’s views on Kody’s parenting in her own confessional, even though viewers didn’t see her learning about them. Christine believes that it is Kody’s responsibility to create a good relationship with his children, and it has always been so. She also thinks that Robyn has never really experienced plural marriage, and she reflects on what happened when Robyn met the family before marrying Kody, but she stops herself from saying anything further. Christine left Kody because she saw that he had favorites, which became complicated for everyone, including her children.
Christine Brown, one of Kody Brown’s four wives from the reality show “Sister Wives,” previously expressed in her confessional that she felt a permanent separation was imminent for the family. Sadly, her prediction came true shortly after filming the segment in late 2022. Christine was the first wife to leave Kody, followed by Janelle Brown, who announced her separation in December 2022. Although it hasn’t been shown on season 18 yet, Janelle confirmed to People that she is now single. Kody’s first wife, Meri Brown, also left the family in January 2023 after being in a non-romantic relationship with him for years, as shown on the show.
