A Pit Bull found abandoned in a garden with disfiguring injuries believes she deserves a chance to be rescued. Pit Bulls face unfair prejudice for being labeled as aggressive despite their loving nature.

The pain and suffering experienced by Khalessi, a young mother dog who was just 2 years old when she was discovered, is beyond comprehension.

Orange County Animal Services was alerted when a severely injured dog was found in a family’s yard.

Oh my goodness!

When she was discovered, a significant portion of her face was gone.

The dog had issues with its nose and nasal passages, along with suffering from malnutrition and sore toes. The discovery prompted the quick response of contacting the animal rescue organization “Passion 4 Pit Rescue.” Stephanie Paqun, a dedicated volunteer, wasted no time in taking in the dog, Khalessi, and ensuring she received the vital medical attention needed to save her life.

Honestly, the circumstances he found himself in were incredibly sad, and he still had a tough road ahead filled with numerous surgeries and treatments before he would be able to walk again.

He was also facing the need for extensive dental work as some of his teeth had roots showing because of bone loss in his jaw.

Luckily, after a thorough examination, doctors confirmed that there were no issues with his heart and a group of medical professionals took care of his facial injuries.

Volunteers believe Khessi may have been used as a bait dog in the past, but despite her difficult history, she remains gentle and appreciative towards those who show her kindness. She shows incredible loyalty and resilience, even though part of her face is scarred. Despite undergoing multiple medical procedures on her back legs and nose, she is doing well and continues to spread love to those around her.

The unwavering determination of veterinarians has been a major source of inspiration, encouraging them to persevere and have faith in their work. Despite facing challenges, it is reassuring to know that pets are in good hands, receiving the care and affection they deserve to lead a fulfilling life. While there is still a long road ahead for Khalessi to reach her full potential as a strong and resilient dog, her enduring affection and will to survive keep her optimism alive. Hopefully, those responsible for inflicting harm on animals will be haunted by stories like Khalessi’s, unable to find peace.
