Lucy began to experience seizures, and the veterinarian ensured that she was comfortable during this time. Although she could no longer walk on her own, her new human companions as well as her owner ensured that she could relax on the lawn and appreciate the sunny weather.

The courageous canine was able to enjoy a couple of extra weeks in a warm and affectionate household. During this time, she seemed to radiate more joy than she had ever experienced before. After Lucy passed away, her new caretakers felt saddened by their loss but could take comfort in knowing that she departed this world feeling cherished and valued.
