Meet Smokey the cat and her adorable kitten, Spam! Just a few weeks ago, Smokey and her six little ones were taken in by a kind-hearted volunteer named Asa from the Animal Welfare League of Arlington. After spending some time in the shelter, the family was finally able to relax in a quiet and cozy foster home. Smokey, being the loving mother that she is, immediately took on her mommy duties and tended to her kittens with ease. In fact, she was so at ease that she even rolled her tongue out in contentment while her babies happily nursed away. It’s heartwarming to see animals receive the care and love they deserve.

Shibuyarollcall’s Smokey is an amazing feline mother who never fails to meet the demands of her six adorable kittens. She makes sure that each one of them is well-fed and groomed, always catering to their needs. Smokey’s appetite is impressive, as she consumes at least six cans of cat food every single day. Whenever Asa comes into the room, Smokey is thrilled to have someone to watch over her little ones, allowing her some time to relax and recharge.

According to @shibuyarollcall, Asa shared with Love Meow that Smokey is not only an excellent mother but also has a relaxed personality. She has been cool with her kittens being handled, and they have grown rapidly in the last few weeks. The kittens have developed individual personalities, and out of the six babies, five are gray (Chorizo, Pepperoni, Salami, Prosciutto, and Pastrami), while Spam, the only black and white kitten, is the most mischievous one.

@shibuyarollcall tweeted about their kitten, Spam, who was noticeable for being the only non-gray kitten in the group. Apart from her color, she also displayed a distinct personality compared to her siblings. Spam was always the most needy and demanded Smokey’s attention. As she grew up, she became brave and fearless in her attitude.

@shibuyarollcall is fond of playing with her mother’s tail by wrestling with it. Her favorite way to eat kibbles is by sitting in the bowl and keeping all the snacks to herself. Raising six kittens at once is quite challenging, so Asa enlisted the help of her beloved furry companion, Kona, who adores cats, to socialize the little ones.

@shibuyarollcall shared that Kona has a deep love for caring for foster kittens and treating them like they are her own children. She also shows great respect for cat mothers and their personal space. Smokey is overjoyed to have a dog around who is good with her kittens.

As soon as Kona@shibuyarollcall appeared, the group of kittens rushed towards her. They were thrilled to receive warm greetings from Kona who showered them with wet kisses. Interestingly, Smokey, the cat’s companion, didn’t intervene when Kona picked up one of the kittens by its scruff. Asa, who witnessed the scene, revealed to Love Meow that Smokey was okay with Kona taking care of the kittens.

Smokey is grateful for the assistance provided by Kona in looking after the foster room. Whenever Kona joins in, Smokey expresses a sense of relief as if she sees Kona as a caretaker. It’s amusing to see how Smokey screams and boops Kona’s nose for attention in a typical Spam style. She’s quite persistent about getting her way.

As the little felines grow up and become more active, they see Kona as the cool aunt (or maybe even their mother figure), and they rush to her side as soon as they catch a glimpse of her.

@shibuyarollcall reports that Smokey is taking some time for herself, thanks to Kona’s assistance. Once the kittens are independent, Smokey will be spayed and placed with a caring family who will shower her with affection.
