The Philly Rescue Angels is a team that specializes in rescuing and taking care of stray dogs. A specific instance has recently captured the interest of many people because of its cruel and appalling circumstances.
Once upon a time, a group of foundation workers stumbled upon a deserted puppy who was in dire need of help on a railway track in Pennsylvania, USA. The incident occurred late at night, and the workers discovered that the poor animal, now affectionately known as Lucky, was unable to move and badly injured. Sidara Son, one of the workers, disclosed in an interview with NBC10 that Lucky’s back leg was paralyzed.
Initially, they suspected that Lucky had been hit by a train, but upon closer inspection, they realized that his injuries were far more severe. It emerged that Lucky was a victim of severe ill-treatment by his previous owners, who had abandoned him to perish on the railway tracks. Son hypothesized that the abusers were possibly using the train as a smokescreen to conceal their vile act of injuring the dog’s back.
Upon inspection of the location, a collar and leash were found to be missing, indicating that the perpetrators intentionally inflicted harm on the animal.
Lucky, a dog who was down on his luck, received prompt medical attention at a veterinary clinic after sustaining severe spinal cord damage. The veterinarians are doing their best to ease his pain through treatment, but sadly, they have ruled out spinal reconstruction as a viable option.
It is unclear how the puppy, Lucky, will fare as it is currently suffering from infected wounds, broken teeth, and potential spinal damage which could prove fatal. The costs for Lucky’s necessary surgeries and rehabilitation are expected to range from $15,000 to $35,000. However, the hope is to cover these expenses through donations and provide the necessary support for Lucky’s journey towards recovery. Despite the challenges, the rescue team remains steadfast in their efforts to save Lucky’s life. Son stated, “Lucky has put up a good fight, and we will continue to do everything in our power to help him.”
