Once a stray feline residing in a parking lot, this cat became a human overseer after being given an opportunity.
Little Wanderers NYC, a group of passionate volunteers aiming to rescue abandoned animals, recently helped an orange tabby that had been living on the streets of the South Bronx for years. The poor cat was forced to scavenge for food and endure harsh weather conditions, and his only solace came from the patients and compassionate nurses who fed him in the parking lot of a dialysis center. Eventually, the cat’s health began to decline, and a Good Samaritan reached out to Little Wanderers NYC for assistance.
Little Wanders NYC came across a scruffy cat with a noticeable hobble. Despite his rough exterior, the feline couldn’t resist the lure of food. Thankfully, kind-hearted volunteers were able to capture him using a humane trap and take him to safety.
Upon closer examination, they realized that the kitty was suffering from several ailments. Most of his teeth were missing, he seemed to be coming down with a cold, and the limp was due to an old injury that had never fully healed.
A cat named Davita was discovered as a homeless wanderer residing in a parking lot, and the kind folks at Little Wanderers NYC took him in. The feline was dubbed Davita in honor of his place of origin, and a foster home was set up for him. Once he had received proper medical attention, he was placed with a volunteer who patiently worked to earn his trust. Initially, Davita was quite frightened and would hiss when approached. Though he was wary of human touch, he showed interest in his new surroundings and toys.
Little Wanderers NYC provided a peaceful environment for Davita to unwind and his foster mother’s support helped him to open up. Over time, he became more self-assured and interested in interacting with those around him. With his hissing subdued, his eyes began to soften. He was always hungry and devoured his meals with gusto.
Little Wanderers NYC shared that the cat they took in has improved tremendously after being under their care for a few months. The feline is no longer troubled about finding food or being exposed to harsh weather conditions, as he is now secure and protected indoors. He has become more sociable and even enjoys approaching people to ask for some cuddles.
Little Wanderers NYC reported that the foster parent of a certain cat has become his object of obsession. The feline stalker sticks to her like glue and craves physical contact with her. He even manages to snuggle up to her feet while she works at her standing desk. He’s now the self-appointed supervisor of the home, keeping a watchful eye on every move made by his human companions.
Little Wanderers NYC reports that Davita has made a full recovery and now runs and jumps with the energy of a kitten. Davita enjoys supervising his people and following them around the house. He is a playful cat who will chase after any moving toy with great enthusiasm and is unstoppable once he gets into his zoomies mode. Despite his love for playtime, Davita also craves affection and will always prefer pets and cuddles over toys if he hasn’t received enough love for the day.
Little Wanderers NYC is a rescue organization that helps cats like Davita find loving homes. Davita has a cute meow and loves to express himself when it’s time to eat. He’s won over the hearts of everyone he meets and is even affectionate toward strangers. It wasn’t until he was placed in a foster home that they discovered how much he craves human companionship. Little Wanderers NYC plays a vital role in finding forever homes for cats like Davita.
Little Wanderers NYC suggests that we should not ignore the timid, underestimated individuals who may not immediately connect with us. Instead, they encourage us to offer our kindness and affection, and with time, these shy individuals will open up. Eventually, the bond that is formed will be incredibly rewarding.
Little Wanderers NYC, a non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing cats, believes that many felines are unfairly judged based on initial appearances. The organization advocates for the idea that every cat deserves the opportunity to flourish, just like their current adoptee named Davita. This cute tabby boy is looking for his forever home where he can receive ample love and affection.
Little Wanderers NYC is proud to share the heartwarming story of Davita. Not too long ago, he was struggling to survive on the streets and was afraid of people. Fast forward to today, and Davita is a changed cat! He now seeks attention and affection from his humans and loves to be around them all the time. In fact, he even supervises his humans all over the house with confidence. We are so grateful for the progress Davita has made and are happy to see him thriving in his new home.
