A tiny feline was on the road to recovery under the watchful eye of her mother cat until a kind family intervened and turned their lives around.

A mother cat and her kittens were discovered outside without a place to call home. They were brought to an animal shelter but the environment was not suitable for them. Salty Animal Rescue, a non-profit organization, received a plea for help and decided to take in the feline family. Karly Saltarski, co-founder of the animal rescue, volunteered to foster the cats despite already having many animals to care for. After taking them in, Karly realized that it would be a difficult journey ahead for the furry family.

Sadly, another kitten passed away after being in foster care for a few days due to an upper respiratory infection. Despite these losses, Summer held onto her last surviving kitten named Winter and did everything she could to keep her safe. Karly, a member of SaltyAnimalRescue, took on the responsibility of tube-feeding Winter every three hours while also providing medication, supportive care, and plenty of tender loving care. Karly is determined to do everything within her power to keep Winter going.

After countless sleepless nights, Winter finally showed signs of improvement – breathing better, gaining weight, and having clearer eyes.
