Meet Spring, a kitten with stunningly unique eyes – one bright blue and the other a striking green. This beautiful condition is known as heterochromia, which manifested itself when she was only six weeks old. Her eyes seemed to bloom just like the flowers of spring, which is fitting for a feline named after the season.
Spring and her siblings, who were all named after the Four Seasons, arrived at Abdul’s Cats when they were just a week old. Followers of the foster page were thrilled to see the breathtaking pictures of the adorable kittens and their mother, Trixie.
One of the most exciting things about kittens is watching how their eyes change color from a lovely blue around 4 to 8 weeks old. However, it was an unexpected treat to see Spring’s eyes transform into an enchanting mismatched pair of sparkly gems.
Abdul’s Cats shared the exciting news that Spring, the adorable kitten, has Heterochromia, as her eyes are developing two different colors. The images and videos of Spring with her unique feature can be found on their Instagram page.
Abdul’s cats on Instagram share an adorable picture of Spring, one of the four seasons kittens. Unlike her siblings, Spring has Heterochromia, a condition where the eyes are different colors. However, this doesn’t affect her vision, and she is as healthy as her brothers and sisters. Interestingly, Spring’s mother also had a unique eye color, as her eyes were the palest green. When it comes to Heterochromia, many people think of the late David Bowie, who famously had one blue eye and one black eye. However, it turns out that Bowie didn’t have Heterochromia – his eye injury from a childhood fight affected his pupil and made his eyes appear different colors.
The Four Seasons, including Spring, were a group of siblings who were rescued by Abdul’s Cats. Among them was Trixie, who was found outside on a cold and rainy Spring day when she was just one year old and malnourished. Fortunately, the family was fortunate enough to be taken in by Abdul’s Cats, where Trixie received the necessary veterinary care after losing her appetite suddenly. The protective mother quickly recovered and reunited with her Four Seasons. Spring, who arrived at a foster home with her siblings, had blue kitten eyes that barely opened, and there was no indication of heterochromia at the time.
Abdul’s Cats welcomed a little kitten named Spring when she was only a week old. As time passed, the Four Seasons litter still had their adorable blue eyes. If you observe closely, Spring’s eyes are not identical in color (she is the third kitten from the left in the picture below). The sight of their cute faces made the person behind the camera forget about their plans for the day, admitting that they were distracted by the feline cuteness overload. 😂
As the following month arrived, Spring’s eyes had a noticeable change, they had sprung! However, as time went by, the colors gradually lightened up and it became difficult to differentiate them without scrutiny. It’s funny how Winter turned out to be a bit different compared to the rest of the seasons. From left to right, we have Spring, Autumn, Winter, and Summer. 😂
Even though Spring’s adorable eyes are a sight to behold, she is just like any other playful kitten who always finds ways to entertain herself. It’s important to remember that, like humans, our inner qualities define who we truly are. Check out this amusing video of Spring practicing the age-old cat tradition of “if I fits.” 😂
