A child found wandering alone on the streets of Montreal, Canada, discovered a newborn kitten and took it to a local shelter. The workers at the shelter reached out to animal rights group Chatons Orphelins Montréal for help in caring for the fragile feline. Selin Krom, an animal rights activist, noted that the kitten was weak, malnourished, and had underdeveloped eyes. Milena, a volunteer at the shelter, took the kitten home and provided it with hourly feedings. The tiny kitten eagerly latched onto the bottle, seeming to enjoy the comfort of being cared for like a mother would. This heartwarming story highlights the importance of animal rescue organizations in providing care and support for animals in need.

Right from the start, Lou displayed strong survival instincts as she would cry and seek food every hour until she was completely satiated. As a result, she gained weight consistently every single day. However, Lou’s overexposure didn’t satisfy her need for a permanent playmate and cuddle buddy. She would often try and flirt with local cats in the hopes of finding a companion.

Towards the conclusion of the month, a group of four kittens were discovered by rescuers. Unfortunately, the kittens were in an unhealthy state, suffering from numerous illnesses. Despite initial concerns over their survival, with the help of antibiotics and tender care, all four kittens were able to eventually eat on their own. Although one of the kittens named Cherry, who was a tabby, had to battle several eye infections, she managed to recover fully from her ailments. This was due to the affectionate attention and proper care provided by the guardians who helped her regain her eyesight and thrive.

Upon realizing that Lou would benefit from the company of other kittens her age, people introduced her to various companions. However, it was Cherry with whom she formed a special bond. Within just 24 hours of meeting, the two were inseparable, constantly following each other around. They did everything together, from napping and grooming to playing and exploring. Selin recounts how the pair quickly became a dynamic duo, always by each other’s side.

Lou was overjoyed for her younger sister and spent all her time by her side, trying to get as close as possible. The stripes on her body were redistributed. It only took a day for them to become inseparable best friends. “The combination of Lou and Cherry is just too cute. Their personalities are different but they complement each other perfectly.”

Cherry has taken on the responsibility of being Lou’s elder sister, despite her youngest child’s objections. Cherry ensures that Lou is always well-licked and cared for, much to the delight of the adorable striped kitten who eagerly rushes to her side at the slightest meow. Vishenka, on the other hand, has a small fuzzy patch on her eye due to inflammation, but she remains unfazed by it and can still see perfectly well.

The little felines share a sweet bond, always keeping an eye on each other and quickly searching if one goes missing.

According to Celine, the girls share a close bond that cannot be broken, which is why they are on the lookout for a two-bedroom apartment.
