Lee Asher, a resident of the sunny city of Los Angeles, takes pride in having a unique family comprising of nine rescued animals. His fondness for animals dates back to his childhood when he realized that he had a calling to assist animals in need. Over the years, he has successfully saved 16 adorable creatures. As a young boy, Asher would visit a nearby animal shelter, where he learned the ropes of rescue procedures. These experiences kindled his passion for rescuing animals and finding them loving homes. Eventually, he made the decision to leave his previous profession behind and devote himself fully to his noble cause of saving dogs.
As Asher shared with The Dodo, he’s always had a deep desire to create a sanctuary for animals in need. So it was no shock to him or those who’ve known him for years when he finally found himself living out that dream.
A man settled into his home with a group of seven furry buddies who go by the names Yaffa, Molly, Cali, BoBo, Butters, Haven, and Lillie. He also has two cat companions named Whiskey and Goose. This kind-hearted fellow has been taking care of these adorable animals and giving them a happy life ever since he rescued them from different types of mistreatment and abandonment.
Asher revealed that the driving force behind his actions is his immense affection for dogs and the understanding that rescuing a dog not only saves its life but opens up opportunities for other rescued animals to find homes. The feeling of knowing that both he and the animals benefit from this mutually beneficial situation is truly indescribable. Asher’s love for animals has also inspired him to pursue an exciting way of life. He made the daring choice to sell all his belongings, quit his job, gather what little he had left, and embark on an epic adventure across the country with his rescued pets.

Together with a friend and his furry companions, he is traveling throughout the US with the goal of rescuing as many pups as possible.
